Abstract
Flood disasters are annual disasters that always recur and result in material and life losses. Flood disaster mitigation efforts are often misdirected at areas that are less vulnerable to flood disasters. The Kedak River Basin in Kediri City has a history of periodic flood disasters every year, so this condition is an area that has a high risk. Vulnerability determination is carried out to determine the main indicators that cause flood risk, in order to carry out better mitigation and planning in dealing with flood disasters. The findings of this research indicate that the condition of vulnerability to flood disasters in the Kedak Watershed, Kediri City has an area of 2512 ha and is in a very vulnerable zone consisting of 12 sub-districts, namely Mrican, Campurejo, Bandar Lor, Bandar Kidul, Lirboyo, Pojok, Sukorame, Gayam, Mojoroto, Tamanan, Bujel and Ngampel. With residential areas included in the high level of vulnerability, namely 632.9 ha on the east side of the Kedak River and 433.37 ha on the west side of the Kedak River. This research provides important insight into areas that are vulnerable to flood disasters and the level of vulnerability to flood disasters in the Kedak River Watershed, Kediri City. These findings are useful for mitigating flood disasters in the Kedak River Watershed, Kediri City and serve as a priority reference for increasing community capacity in zones that are very vulnerable to flood disasters.
