Abstract
The Simpang Tujuh Kudus square area is a vital area in the center of Kudus city because it functions as a center for community interaction which includes interaction between humans and humans with the built environment. Tourists come to visit the Simpang Tujuh Kudus square area. This also has an impact on the development of tourism support, including attractions, accessibility and facilities. For lodging facilities, Kudus already has hotels that are comfortable for tourists, while for culinary facilities, Kudus has a culinary center, namely Taman Bojana Kudus which is located in the Simpang Tujuh Kudus area. This area, which is the center of public space, is always busy every afternoon with people visiting, so currently many street vendors are now setting up stands in the pedestrian area, thus disrupting pedestrian activities and transportation activities. The same thing also happens at Taman Bojana Kudus, even though it is a culinary center, the facilities at Taman Bojana Kudus are not well maintained and the design is flat and monotonous, so over time it is feared that it will attract less interest from visitors. The government also has plans to redesign it into a 4-story luxury building. The Ramayana Mall shopping center has buildings that are less characteristic of Kudus City, buildings that are just monotonous. And in the square area there are pedestrian areas and public open spaces that need to be developed. Finally, I hope that the author's design proposal is able to answer the problems that occur in the Simpang Tujuh Kudus area.
