Abstract
The objectives of this research are (1) To describe the structure that builds the novel Kotak Kunci by Pudjangga Lama. (2) Describe the moral values contained in the novel KotakTime by Pudjangga Lama. (3) Analyzing students' responses regarding the moral values contained in the novel KotakTime by Pudjangga Lama. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The object of the research is the moral values in the novel Kotak Time by Pudjangga Lama, while the research subjects are students of class XI ATU 1 SMK Negeri 1 Trucuk Klaten. The data in this research are words, sentences, or quotations from text or dialogue related to moral values in the novel and words or sentences from students' responses that show the moral values in the novel. The data collection technique in this research is using library techniques and questionnaire sheets. The data validation tests used in this research are source triangulation and data triangulation. The results of this research are (1) The intrinsic structure in the novel Kotak Time by Pudjangga Lama includes theme, setting, plot, characters and characterization, language style, and message. (2) the moral values contained in the novel KotakTime by Pudjangga Lama consist of a) human relationships with themselves including being diligent, disciplined, hard working, honest, patient and self-confident. b) human relations with other humans in the social environment include sympathy, empathy, respect, cooperation and deliberation. c) humans' relationship with God includes prayer, gratitude, and piety. (3) The results of the findings of student response data through 6 cognitive statements obtained student responses. Student responses to moral values in the novel Kotak Time by Pudjangga Lama include (1) all students 100% agree that there is a moral message about human relationships with themselves, namely being diligent, ( 2) the majority of 91% of students agree that there is a moral message of human relations with oneself, namely discipline, (3) all students 100% agree that there is a moral message of human relations with oneself, namely hard work, (4) the majority of 86.5% of students agree that there is a moral message of human relations with oneself, namely honesty, (5) all students 100% agree that there is a moral message of human relations with oneself, namely patience, (6) all students 100% agree that there is a moral message of human relations with oneself, namely discipline.
