Abstract

Most of Indonesia's population lives and lives in urban areas, one of which is the city of Surakarta which has very rapid population growth, both in the transportation, employment and academic sectors, as a result of which there is a shortage of housing land and higher development costs in urban areas. As an urban fringe, Colomadu has a lot of potential and is strategic as a hotel, restaurant and residential area. The On Heritage D'Colomadu Apartment & Hotel uses a contextual approach which aims to connect and harmonize with the surrounding environment. The physical presence of historic buildings helps determine and provide a unique identity for the city. In improving the tourism sector, there is a need for facilities that provide lodging services. As well as a new trend in the millennial generation which is practical and flexible, there needs to be a specific market that is in demand and affordable in the vertical housing on offer. With further development of the contextual concept applied to apartment and hotel residences, one of them is using a minimalist approach which focuses on effective use of space and according to needs. Apart from that, this apartment and hotel offers complete supporting and supporting facilities
