Abstract

Blora is one of the regencies in Central Java which has several problems related to the education sector, such as a fairly high percentage of Out-of-School Children (ATS), the high number of people who do not have diplomas and the large number of people with low education. The Blora Regency Government continues to strive to overcome or resolve these problems, through optimizing formal and non-formal education. One of the non-formal education that the Blora Regency government focuses on is skills competency training, so that people can have skills in the world of work, or can create their own jobs. Based on this, there is a need for a Blora Education Center which is able to accommodate these trainings. The aim of the Education Center designers is to serve as a center for training activities that can improve the quality of human resources through non-formal education, especially the skills of the Blora community. The Blora Education Center will be designed using a Biophilic Architecture approach, by applying biophilic principles so that users of the Blora Education Center receive good quality space and environmental conditions that can be enjoyed, thereby stimulating users to achieve a better level of life. It is hoped that using this approach can also bring out the potential of Blora Regency, namely its teak forests.
