Abstract
Pedan sub-district has a high and increasing population density. There has been considerable land use change from agricultural land to built-up land in Pedan Subdistrict such as settlements and industries. The purpose of this research is to 1) Analyze the extent of land use change in Pedan Sub-district, Klaten Regency in 2017 and 2023, 2) Analyze the distribution pattern of land use change in Pedan Subdistrict, Klaten Regency in 2017 and 2023. The research method uses and guided classification (maximum likelihood) to obtain the extent of land use change and Average Nearest Neighbor (ANN) to obtain the pattern of change. The research analysis method used descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of the study show that the classification of land use in Pedan Sub-district is divided into 5 namely rice fields, settlements, industries, fields, and vacant land. The most common land use change from 2017 to 2023 is from paddy fields to settlements by 196.22 Ha or 9.83%. The distribution pattern of land use change in Pedan Subdistrict is clustered with a Nearest Neighbor Ratio value of 0.415063, a z-score value of -249.948820, and a p-value of 0.
