Abstract

General elections are a means of realizing people's sovereignty in order to produce a democratic government. Elections are held by election organizers, one of which is the Voting Committee located in Papringan Village, Kaliwungu District, Semarang Regency. In carrying out its duties, the voting committee must have integrity and professionalism in order to realize the implementation of democratic elections. This research aims to determine the obstacles to the implementation of the Voting Committee work system and efforts to overcome them in elections regarding the implementation of Indonesian democracy in Papringan Village, Kaliwungu District, Semarang Regency and to find out the concepts used to overcome these problems. This type of research is descriptive by using an empirical juridical approach method. The research findings show that the implementation of the voting committee work system has not been running effectively in accordance with applicable regulations, there are still obstacles found in the implementation of the work system, so effective efforts are needed to overcome them.
