Abstract

The potencial for increasing sea water so high, including in Indonesia which has the longest coastline in the world, this one can make the risk of tidal flood raising up. Especially in the Java Island, as in this research, Tugu Village on Sayung Regency always affected of tidal flood activity, but the people choose to stay or immobile rather than having to move around. Therefore, this research going to reveal the factors that make people Tugu Village choose to Immobility rather than mobility. The aim research going to reveal characteristics of socio-economic and desire for immobility. This method in research is survey of 116 sample and used descriptive statistics analyses and multiple linier regression analyses. The results of this research: (1) The largest sample was aged 25-50 years with 74 respondents. The average occupation was traders and fisheries workers, and 45 residents had income above the minimum wage while 33 residents had income below minimum wage. (2) The factors that make people immobility are Economic Factors (SR=38%), Location Factors (SR=33,6%), Family Factors (SR=29,3%), Meanwhile social factors have no contribution.
