Abstract

The presence of technological developments has influenced many sectors, one of which is that more and more people are interested in trading and investing in shares which look profitable and tempting. Binary options are a hot topic of conversation in society today. Is a trade that involves investment in the form of assets within a predetermined period. However, until now in Indonesia, binary options still do not have a business license and are confirmed to be illegal. This research will discuss the forms of accountability for victims of money laundering crimes and what forms of accountability can be obtained by victims of the Binomo platform. This research uses normative legal research methods by exploring and analyzing legislative regulations, judicial decisions, legal theory, and several scholarly opinions. The results of this research show that legal protection and the rights provided to victims of money laundering are not yet effective, whereas on the Binomo platform, because up to now its status is still illegal, all transactions carried out including victims cannot be protected by law.
