Abstract

The phenomenon of meaningfulness of life is a phenomenon that can affect a person's survival, the main thing that greatly affects a person's meaningfulness of life is happiness (Subjective Well- being). Subjective Well-being is an individual's evaluation of the life they have lived so far, this can affect a person's psychology in living their life. This study also aims to determine the description of the psychological well-being of theater artists in the city of Surakarta. The approach in this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to understand and also explore the meaningfulness of a theater artist's life at this time. The data collection technique used interview. Interviews were conducted with three informants. In this study, the researcher used thematic analysis techniques to review and understand the data obtained. The results of this study are subjective well-being of theater artists in Surakarta, which are reviewed from the PERMA perspective.
