Abstract

The phenomenon of rampant criminal cases that we often encounter in society in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, both in the public sphere, such as acts of disobedience to the Creator and others, in the fields of politics, religion, economy, social and education. Where this greatly influences lifestyle trends. The influence of Western culture, as well as scientific errors, have worsened the current condition of the people, coupled with the emergence of leaders who are not trustworthy. The increasingly urgent condition of the people, which is none other than the erosion of manners, even the loss of manners (loss of adab). The concept of manners initiated by Syed Muh N Al Attas is one of the solutions to problems in the midst of the people, for the return of a better order of life, through the birth of noble civilized people, perfect people, towards the golden civilization of 2045. The research aims to describe the concept of manners according to Syed Muh N Al Attas and its relationship to the process of Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative research paradigm, and the type of research is the scope of education and is library research. While the type of research is descriptive, with a philosophical approach. The perspective used is historical and philosophical. The data sources in this study use primary data sources from books, journals, and various other types of research, meanwhile the secondary sources are from supporting books, previous theses and mass media. And the object of research is the conceptual thinking of Syed Muh N Al Attas, while the subject of the study is a world scientist and Islamic education figure, namely Syed Muh N Al Attas. The data collection technique uses the documentation method and data analysis using content analysis. The results of this study reveal that the concept of adab echoed by Syed Muh N Al Attas is absolutely one of the solutions to be realized immediately, overcoming the problem of damage to the community in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and in the future, through the process of "ta'dib" education or re-instilling adab. The concept of "ta'dib" is still very relevant to be applied in the educational process at every level, from high to low levels, this can be proven through the context of adab which is stated in the 1945 Constitution and Education Law Number 20 of 2003, apart from that it has also been "tested" during the time of Hujjatul Islam Imam Al Ghazali, until one Salahuddin Al Ayyubi, who succeeded in liberating Baitul Maqdis, as well as during the time of Rasulullah SAW, who was uswatun hasanah as a human being the noblest civilisation, until the Arab countries had the highest degree of civilization at that time.
