Abstract

Cats are animals that are very popular with humans. In cat maintenance, feeding greatly affects cat growth and development. For cat owners who do activities outside the home every day, it will affect the cat's irregular diet which results in poor cat growth and development. The purpose of this research is to make it easier for cat owners to control feeding patterns, reduce stress levels in cats, save labor costs, and when the house electricity is out, this tool can still function because it uses solar panels. This tool is based on the Internet of Things to make it easier for owners to control cat feeding patterns. This research is carried out making and designing tools that use ultrasonic sensors to function as detectors when cats approach, NodeMCU ESP32 functions as a microcontroller, HX711 Module load cell sensors function as feed weight detectors, solar panels function as supplying power to batteries, and bylnk applications as monitoring tool work. The results of the research show that the designed tool has successfully fed the cat animals automatically. Feeding successfully provides results from the load cell sensor of 150-200 g, ultrasonic sensor results of less than 10 cm, solar panels successfully provide power to the battery, and the bylnk application successfully displays the weight of the feed and displays the amount of automatic feed tool data that has been successfully done.
