Abstract

Restorative Justice is a process of resolving crime cases between the perpetrator, victim, family of the perpetrator/victim and those related or interested in a deliberative manner to achieve justice and comfort, in order to achieve a fair settlement. Restorative Justice in theft cases offers a more comprehensive solution by taking into account the interests of all parties involved. However, successful implementation of this approach depends on the willingness of all parties to participate and policy support from the justice system. Effective implementation requires specialized training for law enforcers and the development of a supportive regulatory framework. This study sought to ascertain whether restorative justice could be applied to the Brebes District Attorney's Office to help victims in the settlement of theft cases, as well as whether its application could be beneficial in this regard. Using an empirical methodology, this study's main source of data is direct interviews with public prosecutors at the Brebes District Attorney's Office who specialize in general crimes and look into theft offenses using restorative justice. Secondary sources of information are obtained through law books on the application of restorative justice, restorative justice studies in the form of reports, theses, theses, Law Journals; Articles, written works; Results of the study. The nature of this research is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. This data collection method includes interviews and literature
