Abstract

of industrial and residential areas. The demand for such electricity is supplied using power plants with limited availability of fossil fuels that have a negative impact on the environment. This has led some people to switch to more environmentally friendly renewable energy sources. The sun is a natural resource that can be utilized as one of the most renewable sources of energy. The light generated by the sun can be converted into direct electricity by exploiting the photovoltaic phenomenon of solar panels. The intensity of sunlight produces heat so that the ambient temperature also increases. The study aims to monitor the influence of temperature on voltage and output current of solar panels. The monitoring system consists of the ESP8288 as a microcontroller connected by the blynk so that the system is connected to the internet. The PZEM-017 sensor is used to read the current and voltage output of the solar panel while the DHT11 sensor functions to detect the ambient temperature. The results show that temperature affects the voltage and current output of solar panels. When the surface temperature of the solar panel is 32°C, the voltage and current output of the solar panel are small. When the surface temperature of the solar panel is 34°C, the voltage and output current reach a peak point. Meanwhile, when the temperature touched a value of 39 ° C, the voltage and output current of the solar panel actually decreased.
