Abstract
Adolescence is a phase where individuals begin to adapt to adulthood and get to know various new things such as understanding the social world, accepting their identity, and getting to know the opposite sex better. In the process of self-adjustment, adolescents will begin to interact with their environment and this is an individual's ability to adapt. In this case, the role of parents is very important and much needed. The aim of the research is to describe the problems and impacts of social interactions between teenagers and single parents. The benefits of research are providing a contribution to knowledge on social and family psychology, providing an overview of the problems and impacts of social interaction so that we can overcome social interaction problems in the right way. This research used a narrative descriptive qualitative method and determined the research subjects using a purposive sampling technique with 3 respondents obtained. The characteristics of the respondents were teenagers aged 12-24 years and had single parents who were either divorced or deceased. Data analysis uses the Cresswell model. The data used was obtained through direct interviews. The results of the research were that all informants experienced problems and impacts on aspects of social interaction after living with a single parent. Although each informant has different problems and impacts, the problems that dominate most are psychosocial problems with their environment.
