Abstract
Working mothers have dual responsibilities for their roles, both as housewives and as career women. A working mother has to bear the many demands that require a good work life balance. Work life balance is needed by a working mother, so she can still balance the time spent at work and activities outside of work (family and personal needs). If this need is not fulfilled, it can trigger excessive stress, and the mother will feel tired quickly, both physically and emotionally. The aim of this research is to find out and obtain information about work life balance for working mothers who have teenage children. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Sampling used the purposive sampling technique. The subjects of this research were working mother informants who professionally work in companies owned by other parties with working hours of at least 8 hours per day and have teenage children aged 12-22 years old. Data collection techniques use semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this research show that working mothers who have teenage children have different efforts in balancing their roles, both in office work and in their role as housewives. It was also found that there were positive and negative impacts felt by a child with a working mother's background.
