Abstract
Crewek Village, Grobogan Regency, Central Java, faces complex food security problems. Limited storage of harvested crops, inefficient distribution, and unstable welfare of farmers are the main factors. To overcome this problem, a comprehensive solution is needed that involves various parties. The design of a Community-Based Food Storage Area in Crewek Village is presented as a sustainable solution to increase food independence. A modern food barn with a cooling and pest control system will be built to maintain the quality and durability of the harvest. Training on good harvest and post-harvest techniques will be provided to farmers to minimize losses. Buildings for processing crops and livestock will also be designed to increase the selling value of crops and the welfare of farmers. This design does not only focus on physical infrastructure, but also on community empowerment. Farmers will be involved in the process of designing and managing the Food Storage Area. This is expected to increase the sense of ownership and community participation in realizing food independence in Crewek Village. It is hoped that with proper implementation, the Design of a Community-Based Food Storage Area in Crewek Village can improve the quality of life of the community, strengthen local food security, and become an example for other regions in realizing sustainable food security.
