Abstract

Krui is the capital of West Pesisir Regency, Lampung, rich in natural tourism potential, namely beaches, which attract tourists. The beaches in Krui are famous for their high waves, providing a surfing sensation for enthusiasts. Every year, the Krui Pro, an international surfing championship of the World Surfing League (WSL), is held there. Consequently, the number of tourists keeps increasing every year, leading to an increase in local demand. A building that can accommodate these needs with complete facilities such as accommodation, spa, restaurants, craft shops, and more is required. The suitable building for these needs is a resort. However, Krui is one of the locations affected by earthquakes. The purpose of this design is to (1) Design a coastal tourism area in Krui, West Pesisir, Lampung, (2) Design the Krui Surfing Paradise Resort in the Krui beach area, West Pesisir, Lampung, and (3) Design a resort in a beach area with sand with earthquake-resistant structures. The methods used are literature review, comparative study, and observational study. It is hoped that the design of the Krui Surfing Paradise Resort can facilitate tourist activities with complete facilities and have a positive impact on the surrounding community
