Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of education level (Pend), consumption level (Kons), infrastructure index (IFR), and average net wages/salaries (RU) on poverty in Jambi Province from 2019 to 2021 using panel data regression. The result of this study the random effects model (REM) is the most suitable method for panel data in explaining the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable in the model. The REM analysis reveals that Education and Consumption have a positive correlation on poverty in Jambi Province, whereas Infrastructure index and average net wages/salaries have not yet able to influence on poverty in Jambi Province. Based on this study, it is expected that the government of Jambi Province will pay more attention to job opportunities corresponding to the level of education attained, ensure adequate consumption levels among the population, infrastructure development that runs smoothly to increase the economic circulation of goods and services to remote areas, and wage policies that meet basic and non-basic needs to achieve community welfare and alleviate poverty.
