Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of protection for victims of domestic violence in the city of Surakarta. It is hoped that this research can explore Law Number 23 of 2004 to analyze how this regulation guarantees that the rights of victims of domestic violence can be fulfilled. The method used is an empirical approach with qualitative research. The results of the research show that the implementation of protection for victims of domestic violence by the Surakarta City DP3AP2KB, both in the form of preventive and repressive measures, is in accordance with the positive legal provisions of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence where the department provides legal aid and assistance services. on access to medical and psychological services. and is in line with Islamic law contained in the Al-Quran, Al-Maidah verse 2 which contains Allah's command to help others, and in accordance with the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which was narrated by Abu Daud where the Prophet Muhammad SAW said "Seek my pleasure by doing good to weak people."
