Abstract
The existence of inheritance in the family is a necessity, the problems that often occur are the implementation of inheritance in Muslim communities which varies from one to another, so that it often gives rise to deviations, the community considers this as a form of realizing usefulness and goodness in the family. . This research aims to discover the characteristics of the distribution of inheritance in Javanese society, and provide a transcendental-based conception of inheritance. This research is non-doctrinal research or empirical research, the approach used is a phenomenological approach, data sources consist of primary and secondary data sources, obtained through interviews and observations, data validity testing is carried out through source triangulation, using the trichotomy concept of Jatinom Irwan community division Abdullah, it is known from the results of this research that in Javanese society there are three distinctive divisions (trichotomy) of categories of distribution of inheritance, namely (1) Inheritance based on Local Wisdom (2) Inheritance based on Partial Religiosity and (3) Inheritance based on Religious Spirituality. Meanwhile, the transcendental-based concept of inheritance that is built is inheritance that not only has dimensions of physical reality but also leads to beneficial values originating from Allah SWT
