Abstract

The rapid development of the present era has led to many changes, both good and bad. One of the negative changes is the moral degradation of the younger generation, a significant issue requiring special attention today. In the era of globalization, the education sector, particularly higher education, needs special attention to prepare high-quality human resources by relying on non-formal education to instill habits, role models, and religious culture that contain religious values. One form of non-formal education that can train these aspects is the student boarding school (pondok pesantren mahasiswa). Boarding schools usually have rules or regulations that separate male and female students in their activities. However, some facilities still in volve male and female students together, such as parking areas, circulation in and out of the boarding school, meeting or discussion rooms, and teaching and learning activities.The design of a student boarding school with an emphasis on humanistic architecture is an effort to meet the needs of millennial students seeking quality religious and general education. The result will be a functional and humanistic design that creates a conducive and inspiring learning environment, enhancing the quality of life for the students. With a humanistic design, it is also hoped to attract students to study at this student boarding school.
