Abstract

Magetan Regency has rich natural, cultural, and historical tourism potential. Among the existing tourist destinations, Telaga Wahyu stands out as a potential to become a tourism icon in this district. However, in recent years, the number of visitors to Telaga Wahyu has decreased drastically compared to Telaga Sarangan. Data from the BPS of Magetan Regency in 2023 recorded only 4,846 visitors to Telaga Wahyu, while Telaga Sarangan reached 1,008,155 visitors. The environment around Telaga Wahyu also looks unkempt with inadequate facilities. Revitalization of Telaga Wahyu is important to develop its potential as well as Telaga Sarangan. Water tourism and outdoor recreation in Magetan have increased, providing an opportunity to optimize Telaga Wahyu with a waterfront concept. This revitalization aims to revive the image of Telaga Wahyu as a leading destination, build an area with attractive characteristics, and attract tourist visitors. In preparing the revitalization plan, the methods used include data collection and analysis through direct observation, interviews with important figures, and literature studies. The collected data was analyzed qualitatively to support the revitalization design. The concept of waterfront area management includes elements such as coast, promenade, pier, bridge, open space, and tourism activities such as parks, riverwalk, amphitheater, restaurants, and pavilions. These design parameters aim to create an impression that distinguishes Telaga Wahyu as a unique and attractive tourist destination.
