Abstract
Brick is one of the building materials used in making building walls. Various methods are used to improve the quality of bricks, including using natural fiber additives. Natural fibers are easy to find in the surrounding environment and are relatively cheap. This researsch is a summary of three studies that have been carried out previously regarding the compressive strength and water absorption capacity of bricks using different additives, namely bagasse fiber, palm frond fiber, and palm fiber fiber with variations of 0%, 2%, 3%, and 4%. %. Of the various types of natural fiber additives used, it is known that only the use of palm fiber can improve the quality of bricks in accordance with the quality requirements of SNI03-0349-1989.
