Abstract
The process of preparing this thesis aims to design and develop a Thesis Assessment Information System for the Informatics Engineering Study Program at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. This system is designed to facilitate the assessment of theses by lecturers, manage student thesis data, and increase efficiency in academic administration. Currently, although thesis assessment by examining lecturers is integrated, the recapitulation process is still carried out manually, which results in ineffectiveness and inaccuracy. Therefore, a web-based assessment system was developed using the waterfall method, using the PHP programming language, Laravel framework, and MySQL database. This system aims to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy of thesis assessment as well as simplify the assessment process by examining lecturers during the assessment session. The system developed is expected to improve the assessment process in the Informatics Engineering Study Program, reduce human error, and enable real-time assessment monitoring. Functionality testing with black-box testing shows that the system features function well and as expected, while the System Usability Scale test gives a score of 84.25, which shows that the system is accepted by users.
