Abstract
Globally, the temperature on the earth's surface continues to increase every year or can be interpreted as global warming caused by excessive fuel emissions by humans. This also has an impact on the resilience of natural resources such as food which will experience a decline because each food ingredient has resistance at different room temperatures. To overcome this problem, a food cooler was designed that can cool food ingredients and can maintain the durability of the food ingredients longer than the spoilage process. This cooling box uses the main component of a thermoelectric system, namely Peltier, which can convert electrical energy into a heat pump or refrigeration. This tool is supplied with a 12Volt 30 ampere power supply and is also equipped with a thermometer for monitoring the temperature in the box as well as implementing internet of things (IoT) which functions for monitoring and also an automatic system for turning off and on the tool and setting the temperature level in the cooling box. The tool has been successfully manufactured and is functioning properly, the results of this research, the power required by the cooling box is 208.9 W and is able to cool vegetables and fruit to a maximum temperature of 16.2°C with an average error value on the DHT22 sensor of 5 .6% in temperature and 2.4 in humidity. This tool has been tested to cool vegetables and fruit for 3 days by comparing storage in a box and at room temperature and it was found that vegetables and fruit stored in a cooling box can last longer than at room temperature.
