Abstract
Flooding is a natural phenomenon that can cause disasters, especially when rainfall is high. This condition will result in inundation in certain areas which is very detrimental to many people. This tool aims to make residents of areas on the banks or edges of rivers more aware of the impact of flood disasters that can come at any time. This tool is also expected to be a solution as a way of early warning of flood disasters. This flood detection tool uses various components, one of which is an ultrasonic sensor to detect the height of the river water, then it will be transmitted to the Esp32 microcontroller, and then it will be forwarded to the buzzer, where the buzzer will then emit a sound or noise which will serve as a reminder to local residents. when the ultrasonic sensor has detected the water level. IoT is used to monitor water levels which we can monitor remotely using a smartphone, and the source of the flood detection tool uses a solar power plant. When the sensor detects the distance from the ultrasonic to the water surface with a distance of 0-50 cm on the water surface, the red indicator light will light up, as well as the yellow indicator light which detects 50-100 cm, the green indicator light will light up when the detected water level is more than 100 cm. This research also compares measurements using Blynk and a multimeter. The average percentage of voltage measurement error obtained from the test results is 0,620%. The average percentage error in current measurements obtained from the test results is 1,60%.
