Abstract
Students in the Informatics program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) are required to choose a concentration in their fifth semester. Many students struggle to select a concentration that matches their interests and competencies, which can impact their academic performance and career. To address this, a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed to provide recommendations to fourth-semester students. This DSS uses the Simple Additive Weighting method to rank concentrations based on set criteria. Developed using an agile methodology through the stages of Requirements, Design, Develop, Test, Deploy, and Feedback, the system is built with the Next.js framework and Cloud Firestore as the database. The web-based system is accessible via desktop and mobile, featuring key components such as a Concentration Quiz, Recommendation Results, Mind Map Recommendations, and User Profiles. Testing, including user feedback and system evaluation, confirms that the DSS has been successfully implemented and achieved a SUS score of 75, indicating its effectiveness in recommending concentrations based on students interests and strengths.
