Abstract
Livestock industry, the egg selection process is still done manually using sunlight to assess egg quality. This method is prone to inaccuracies and is slow to implement. The author proposes an innovation to increase efficiency and accuracy in the form of an automatic selection tool using technology which aims to replace the manual egg selection method with an automatic tool capable of detecting egg quality based on the resistance value produced by the LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensor. This tool is also equipped with a conveyor system to make it easier to transfer eggs to the grouping area. The method used involves the use of LDR and HPL LED sensors as well as additional loadcell sensors to determine the weight of the eggs which will later be grouped. The ADC sensor value will provide information about the brightness of the egg which will then be converted into resistance. Testing is carried out to determine the resistance value that differentiates good and bad egg quality. After that, the tool will connect to the Internet to enable remote monitoring. The tools and materials used to make this system are LDR sensors, HPL LEDs, ESP32 microcontrollers, conveyors, servo motors, loadcell sensors and other supporting components. In testing egg weight using a standard measuring instrument as a reference value, the average error value on the loadcell sensor was 1,25% from readings of 18 different egg samples and had an accuracy value of 98,75% with a percentage level of successful work of the tool for sorting eggs. chicken by 83,33%.
