Abstract

Laundry is a place for cleaning and tidying clothes. Especially in the Muhammadiyah University Surakarta area, laundry services are very necessary for students and people who have little free time because they are busy with their own work, but the large number of laundry services available makes it confusing to choose according to customer criteria. Many desired criteria include consideration of the price given, cleanliness, and the closest location due to time efficiency considering time and time constraints. Apart from that, price is a benchmark for students who want cheap and efficient service. Only with brochures and recommendations from person to person makes it even more confusing in determining a good laundry service. The aim of creating an Android-based information system is to help students and the UMS area community in determining laundry service locations that meet their respective criteria. The method used is waterfall consisting of requirements analysis, design, programming code, testing and system maintenance. This Android-based information system was created using the Java, PHP programming language and assisted by MySQL as a database server. System testing uses Black box and SUS (System Usability Scale). The results of Black box testing as a whole system can run well, and the SUS results get an average score of 76,5 so that the Android information system is suitable for use in determining the laundry service of interest.
