Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze prevention and repression of corruption against state apparatus in Indonesia and examine factors that become obstacles in overcoming corruption. The research method used in this research is the normative juridical method with a qualitative approach. This approach involves the analysis of laws and regulations relating to corruption crimes as well as case studies of several corruption cases involving state apparatus. Data was collected through literature studies, documentation, and interviews with legal experts and practitioners. The result of this study that although the government has issued many regulations to prevent and eradicate corruption, implementation and law enforcement still face many obstacles. Some of the inhibiting factors identified include the lack of integrity and professionalism of the state apparatus, weak internal control systems, and a strong culture of corruption within the bureaucracy. In addition, the lack of public participation in monitoring and reporting corruption is also an obstacle in efforts to tackle corruption.
