Abstract
Work life balance is trying to a balance of satisfaction in all parts of life, including work and personal life. Factors affecting work life balance include self-efficacy and peer social support. This study aims to find out the relationship between self- efficacy and peer social support with work life balance. The research method used in this research is the quantitative method. The research population is a student of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta who works. Sampling technique used purposive sampling with characteristics of active student S1 Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, aged 18-25 years, male or female, working while in college, working at least 6 hours a day, having worked for at least 1 month, working in Surakarta area, and unmarried. The sample of the study consisted of 94 students. The study used three scales: work life balance, self- efficacy, and peer social support. Data analysis using double linear regression test analysis. Data analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between self- efficacy and peer social support with work life balance (F = 40,073; p=0,000 p<0,01) which proves that the research hypothesis is the relationship between self-efficacy and peer social support and work life balance is accepted. There is a positive correlation between self-efficacy and work life balance for working students at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and there is a positive correlation between social support from peers and work life balance for working students at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The effective contribution in this research was 45.2% with details of the self-efficacy variable being 31.5%, the peer social support variable being 13.7%.
