Abstract

Self-reliance is a fundamental psychological factor, because as a bridge to escape from the emotional bonds of others, strong independence will be the basis for independence in adolescence, adulthood, and beyond. The purpose of the study was to analyze the content of independent character values in the animated film Adit Sopo Jarwo in episodes 80, 88, 92 and the episode Mandiri Bukan Berarti Maunya Sendiri. This type of research is qualitative with content analysis design. The role of the researcher is as a research instrument in the data collection process. This research uses content analysis as a technique for analyzing research data. The content of independent character values in episode 80 contains the value of full initiative, and responsibility; episode 88 contains the value of full initiative, critical thinking, creativity, and responsibility; episode 92 contains the value of full initiative, confidence, and creativity; the episode "Mandiri Bukan Berati Maunya Sendiri" contains the value of full initiative, confidence, critical thinking, creativity, and responsibility.
