Abstract
Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB) which is an effort to develop knowledge innovatively to achieve acculturation of safety, security, and resilience for all school members against structural and nonstructural disasters. This study examines the influence of perceptions of the implementation of the SPAB program on school resilience in students in junior high schools in Cangkringan sub-district located in the KRB of Mount Merapi. The SPAB program focuses on the implementation of the three pillars or components of a disaster-safe education unit so that it is expected to create school resilience with efforts to reduce vulnerability and increase resilience to disasters in schools. The objectives of this study are: 1) to know about the perception of the implementation of the SPAB program on students in junior high schools in Cangkringan Subdistrict in the KRB area, 2) to analyze the perception of school resilience on students in junior high schools in Cangkringan Subdistrict in the KRB area, 3) to identify the influence of the perception of the SPAB program on school resilience on students in junior high schools in KRB Cangkringan Subdistrict. This type of research uses quantitative methods with a correlational design. The population of this study were all students in three junior high schools in Cangkringan District which amounted to 713 students, the research sample consisted of 187 student samples from 3 schools SMPN 1 Cangkringan, SMPN 2 Cangkringan, SMP Taman dewasa. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistical data analysis. The results showed that1) the perception of the implementation of the SPAB program on students at SMPN 1 Cangkringan is 61% (medium), SMPN 2 Cangkringan is 78% (medium), SMP Taman dewasa is 50% (medium), 2) Perceptions of school resilience in students at SMPN 1 Cangkringan amounted to 81% (high), SMPN 2 Cangkringan amounted to 84% (high), SMP Taman dewasa amounted to 81% (high). 3.) There is a significant influence of the SPAB Program on school resilience in junior high schools in the KRB area in Cangkringan District, this is known from the significance value (0.00 <0.05). The strength of the correlation between the SPAB program and school resilience has a pearson correlation value of 0.610 which means the strength of the correlation is strong.
