Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of teacher resilience in undergoing workload at SLB X in Surakarta. This research method uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, aiming for the research to truly understand events in the lives of informants holistically or thoroughly starting from behavior, motivation, and perception. The informant criteria in this study are teachers who teach in public special schools in Surakarta city with a minimum of 15 students. The results obtained from this study are that the resilience of SLB X in teachers is formed influenced by a positive work environment and mutual cooperation. Not only a positive work environment but also a sense of self or a sense of wanting to educate children with special needs so that they can be useful in their community so that teachers sincerely educate children with special needs. So getting the results, the five informants showed the same behavior, namely realizing that as an SLB teacher, they have a big impact on the lives of their students, such as being able to live independently, having good manners and being able to blend in with society.
