Abstract
This research aims to reveal the relationship between accountability and transparency on the effectiveness of village financial management. This study was carried out by conducting a survey of Mranggen village officials in Sukoharjo Regency using a previously prepared questionnaire. The research result show that accountability and transparency have a significant positive effect on the effectiveness of village financial management. This proves that the highter the level of accountability and transparency in the use of village funds, the better the effectiveness of their management. Therefore, it is important for local govermments to increase information transparency and mechanisms to strengthen accountability in the process of procurement, reporting and monitoring of village funds in the order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of development programs in Indonesian villages.
