Abstract

MTs Nurul Amin Al Hidayah at Sidareja district of Cilacap is one of the schools affected by the flood disaster. The objectives of this study are: (1) To analyse the level of knowledge of students of Nurul Amin Al Hidayah Sidareja against flood disasters, (2) To analyze the rate of response of the students of nurul Amin al Hidayaha Sidareya to flood catastrophe, (3) To analyse relationships between the levels of knowledge and the rates of response to flood disasters. This research uses quantitative methods with correlational designs. The population in the study was the entire students of Nurul Amin Al-Hidayah Sidareja, who totaled 213 students, with respondents as many as 139 students determined using the Slovin formula and random sampling. The data collection techniques used are observations, documentation, and questionnaires using the Likert scale. The data is analyzed using descriptive statistical tests and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that 1) the level of knowledge of students of Nurul Amin Al-Hidayah Sidareja against flood disasters obtained an average score of 76; the score belonged to the high category; 2) the rate of response of students to the flood disaster received an average rating of 80; the score was included in the higher category; 3) there was a relationship between the knowledge level and level of response to the flood catastrophe shown by the rcalculation of the size of 0.321. The calculation results show that rCount value > rTable (0,374 > 0,227), so Ha is accepted.
