Abstract

Some stores, especially electrical stores located in rural areas, have not used a computerized cashier system. Buying and selling transactions and management still depend on processes that are carried out manually. This reliance on manual processes not only has the potential to cause long lines, but can also hinder the efficiency of cashier performance, allow errors in recording, and extend the time to complete transactions and management. In the modern era and increasingly fierce market competition, the process of buying and selling transactions and management by using manual methods will be considered less efficient, so the author makes a computerized cashier and management system with a case study of Kusuma Electric Shop located in Pucangan Village, Ngrambe District, Ngawi Regency. This system was created with the aim of accelerating and simplifying the process of buying and selling transactions as well as management management at Kusuma Electric Shop. The author uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method of the waterfall model with several stages including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. In addition, the author uses the Laravel framework and PHP and JavaScript programming languages with MySQL as a database server. With this website-based cashier and management system, it is expected to be able to complete the buying and selling transaction process and management management at Kusuma Electric Shop, thereby reducing the potential for long lines, increasing the efficiency of cashier performance, reducing the risk of errors in recording, and shortening transaction time and management management. This system was tested using two tests, namely black box testing and System Usability Scale (SUS). Black box testing shows good results on every input and output of the system, while the results of SUS testing show a score of 79 from a total of 30 respondents, which means the system is in the acceptable category with grade B and good rating.
