Abstract

Roads are one of the main infrastructures in moving the wheels of the national economy. The availability of roads is very useful for people to carry out daily activities or mobility, so that traffic volume will continue to be dense. Indonesia itself has problems related to roads which are often damaged before their design life, this occurs due to the implementation of roads that are designed with substandard quality and also due to excessive vehicle loads. The aim of this research is to analyze the Indirect Tensile Strength (ITS) and Durability values in AC-WC mixtures with the addition of carbon nano powder. The method used is an experimental laboratory consisting of ITS testing and durability immersion. Variations in nano carbon levels used in the research were 0 ppm, 200 ppm, 1000 ppm and 2000 ppm. From the results of the tests carried out, the ITS value at 0 ppm nano content was 954 Kpa, at 200 ppm nano content it was 594 KPa, at 1000 ppm nano content it was 503,333 KPa, and at 2000 ppm nano content it was 394,667 KPa. The decrease in the ITS value shows that the tensile strength of the AC-WC mixture with increasing nano carbon content makes the ITS value continue to decrease. And from the results of durability testing at 0 ppm nano content, the IKS value was 86.5205 %, at 200 ppm nano content it was 86.1213 %, at 1000 ppm nano content it was 82,1379 %, and at 2000 ppm nano content it was 70,8826 %. It can be concluded that the IKS value for variations in nano carbon content of 0 ppm, 200 ppm and 1000 ppm meets the specifications of AASTHO T-283, namely ≥ 80%. Meanwhile, the variation in nano carbon content of 2000 ppm does not meet the specified requirements.
