Abstract
Responsibilities related to technological developments are currently very rapid, including in economic activities. Shopping activities are now easier because they can be done through the marketplace to carry out buying and selling transactions, but in practice several consumers from the Tiktok Shop marketplace have experienced losses. The aim of the research is to determine the responsibility of business actors for losses experienced by consumers, as well as to determine appropriate efforts to resolve consumer settlements. The research method used is an empirical method. The research uses a quantitative type of research, which goes directly into the field. Data type: The data used in this research is primary data using a questionnaire. Secondary data and accumulation of questionnaire data and library data as support. Data collection method is by providing a questionnaire in the form of a Google form which contains questions about the facilities provided by the Tiktok Shop marketplace. Legal protection for consumers in buying and selling transactions through the Tiktok Shop marketplace is regulated in the statutory regulations governing online buying and selling, namely Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. The author has processed the data which was filled in by 121 respondents. Based on data from the questionnaire, it shows that 15% of the total 121 respondents had experienced fraud when carrying out online buying and selling transactions on the Tiktok Shop marketplace and ended up causing losses to consumers. And we found answers to the responsibilities expected by consumers towards business actors, including; 1.) request a refund or refund; 2.) request a return or re-delivery of goods according to the order; 3.) report to the Tiktok Shop; 4.) give a bad rating to the marketplace. Apart from the law, the government has also provided BPSK (Consumer Dispute Resolution Agency) as a place for battles between consumers and business actors. The parties to the dispute are free to choose a method of resolution, either through mediation, conciliation or arbitration.
