Abstract

Abstract Practicum activities have an important role in the process of achieving science learning objectives. The practicum is carried out in a science laboratory with a room that has been specially designed according to predetermined standards. Minimum standards for science laboratory facilities and infrastructure have been stipulated by Permendiknas No 24 of 2007. The purpose of this research was to determine the quality of science laboratory facilities and infrastructure in supporting learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta in the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results showed that the suitability of science laboratory facilities and infrastructure based on Permendiknas No. 24 of 2007 obtained the respective percentages: 1) laboratory space 100% (very good), 2) laboratory furniture facilities 100% (very good), 3) educational equipment 100 % (very good), 4) experimental tools 44.44% (good enough), 5) educational media 100% (very good), 6) consumables 71.43% (good), 7) other equipment 60 % ( pretty good),. The conclusion from this study is that the quality of science laboratory facilities and infrastructure in supporting learning at Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta Middle School in the 2022/2023 academic year is included in the very good category with an average percentage of 82.23% of 100% minimum standard for science laboratories listed in the Permendiknas No. 24 of 2007.
