Abstract
Picohydro power plants are small power plants that use water as their power. Picohydro power plants are usually installed near rivers, irrigation canals, or waterfalls, and are designed to produce water runoff and changes in height (head). To drive the turbine. Picohydro power generation is an alternative electrical energy that has several advantages such as low production costs, free energy sources and is not affected by rising fuel prices. The test aims to measure the power produced by a turbine using a water wheel or Archimedes screw turbine, by varying the number and tilt angle of the turbine. Trials will be carried out on rivers in the Karanganyar region, Central Java. Several supporting measuring tools for measurements on one and two blade turbines and turbine tilt angles of 10 degrees, 20 degrees and 30 degrees. The tilt angle of the turbine greatly influences the rotational performance of the turbine because when the turbine is at a high tilt angle, the water discharge coming out of the turbine becomes heavier. The peak is when the turbine tilts 30°, the generator with 1 blade gets the greatest power of 14,407 watts, and the turbine generator with 2 blades gets the greatest power of 13,661 watts.
