Abstract
The development of entrepreneurial activities has played an important role in the self-development of the younger generation to start a business. In the industrial era 4.0, students are expected to be able to compete by creating products that can solve problems in society. The Wirausaha Merdeka Program aims to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in students, which involves taking risks, developing creativity, innovation and management skills in looking for opportunities in facing problems. The Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, especially Independent Entrepreneurship (WMK) at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, is expected to be a solution for creating a learning culture that is new, innovative and in line with student needs so as to create competent graduates. This program consists of four segments, namely an entrepreneurship workshop with experienced business practitioners to provide understanding to students, internships at MSMEs as an opportunity to hone skills, business planning and making product prototypes as well as expo activities to market the products made to the public commercially. The results of the Wirausaha Merdeka Program are a means for students to understand and hone their entrepreneurial skills so that they can prepare themselves with skills when they graduate.
