To realize the concept of a welfare state, good governance mechanisms are important to implement. By applying the concept of good governance and state financial management in a practical and precise manner, the welfare state concept can have a positive impact on the welfare of Indonesian society, creating justice, prosperity and sustainability. The Financial Audit Agency (BPK), as one of the tools for realizing a welfare state, has the main responsibility for investigating the management and accountability of state finances based on the provisions of the 1945 Constitution, as for the problem formulation regarding how the BPK contributes to the supervisory function of state financial management, and what steps to take. - steps or processes carried out by the BPK to carry out financial supervision of state institutions. The method used in this research is descriptive with a statutory approach. The data used involves primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials collected through literature study, then analyzed descriptively. The results of this research indicate that, in the context of state financial management in Islam, it is called Bitul Mal. The BPK has a role and responsibility as a supervisor and implementer of action against state finances. The BPK's supervisory mechanism is based on Law No. 15 of 2006 and BPK's operational guidelines. The initial stage involves a report or order to carry out an inspection, and if criminal elements are found, it will be handed over to the Partner Agency. In addition, BPK produces products in the form of Audit Result Reports (LHP), LHP Responses (TLHP), Standard Audit Loss Calculations, and opinions from expert statements.
