Abstract
Humans are faced with many dangers and calamities in their daily lives, and therefore Insurance contributes to overcoming the consequences of these risks when they are realized through compensation paid to those affected. Especially health issues which are considered a basic need for every individual. The task of Sharia Health Insurance lies in the field of protecting the welfare of the soul against things that threaten life or damage to body parts that cause disability or death. Therefore, the researcher's attention is focused on research and investigation into the concept of the Sharia Health Insurance contract and its suitability with maqshad hifdzun nafs (self-preservation goals), comparative studies between fatwas issued by the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulama Council (DSN-MUI) and decisions made issued by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). In this research, the researcher will discuss the following matters: What is the relationship between the DSN-MUI fatwa and AAOIFI's decision regarding Sharia Health Insurance and maqshad hifdzun nafs? How do DSN-MUI and AAOIFI describe maqshad hifdzun nafs in Sharia Health Insurance? This research is library research, where the researcher uses an inductive and analytical approach. Among the research results achieved by researchers: There is a strong relationship between DSN-MUI and AAOIFI, and there are many similarities between DSN-MUI's fatwa and AAOIFI's decision. Implicitly, the DSN-MUI fatwa is closer to the maqshad hifdzun nafs than AAOIFI.
