Abstract

There is a lot of content that is not in accordance with Islamic law in online games circulating in the community even though these online games have a huge impact on the players or fans. Here researchers will use fiqh rules that come from the opinions of previous and contemporary scholars. In this fiqh rule there are 5 major rules, among these major rules the researcher chooses the laa dharar wa laa dhirar rule to analyze the extent of the harm caused by negative content in online games so that the provisions can be known and a solution can be found and a way out or alternative to eliminate the negative content. This thesis is classified as qualitative research, because the topic revolves around analyzing the development of funds through commercial businesses in electronic games over the Internet and its impact on legal provisions using an inductive approach and data analysis by reviewing the books of scholars and scientific research, especially with regard to regulations in fiqh rules and electronic games. This dissertation will examine and analyze the development of funds through several works in online electronic games. This thesis aims to find out how electronic games via the Internet as a means of developing money in terms of fiqh rules: laa dharar wa laa dhirar, and to find out the possibility of making electronic games via the Internet a means of making halal money. The result of this research is that according to the rules of laa dharar wa laa dhirar, buying and selling online games is a means of developing money that is prohibited by sharia because it still contains things that are prohibited in Islamic law or cause harm to consumers. The online game industry can be a means to grow halal money as long as it does not contain content that is forbidden in Islamic law, such as gambling and pornography, and does not cause harm to consumers, both general and specific losses.
