Abstract
Introduction: Stunting in toddlers can be influenced by several factors such as maternal knowledge about feeding greatly affects the growth and development of toddlers to get intake and the health of the family environment is good, so the conditions of the people in it will also be good. Based on data from the Sukoharjo Regency Health Office 2021, the highest stunting rate is in Gatak sub-district (15%). Objective: to determine the relationship between environmental health and maternal knowledge with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Blimbing Village, Gatak District. Research Methods: Type of research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample used amounted to 42 respondents. Analysis test using Chi-Square. Samples in this study were taken by proportional random sampling. Environmental health data were obtained from interviews with respondents using questionnaires, maternal knowledge data were obtained from filling out questionnaires regarding toddler feeding rules, while stunting data were obtained by measuring height at the Posyandu using a microtoise and then interpreted using the Who Anthro application. Results: 90.5% of the majority of toddlers with good environmental health. 42.9% of the majority of mothers have a sufficient level of knowledge. As much as 76.2% of the majority of toddlers in the normal category. Statistical tests of the relationship between environmental health and the incidence of stunting showed a p-value of 0.559 (>0.05) and on maternal knowledge with the incidence of stunting showed a p-value of 0.002 (<0.05). Conclusion: there is no relationship between environmental health and the incidence of stunting and there is a relationship between maternal knowledge and the incidence of stunting.
