Abstract
Inflation is the phenomenon of rising price levels in general. This research aims to measure the direction and magnitude of the influence of Bank Indonesia Interest Rates, Money Supply, Rupiah Exchange Rate, Government Debt, Government Expenditures, World Oil Prices and Economic Growth on Inflation in Indonesia in 2006-2020. This research uses time series data with Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis tools. This research result show that the Rupiah Exchange Rate and World Oil Prices have a positive effect on Inflation. Meanwhile, the Bank Indonesia Interest Rate, Money Supply, Government Debt, Government Expenditure and Economic Growth variables have no effect. This condition show that Indonesian inflation is vulnerable to fluctuations in the value foreign currencies, especially the UUS$ and world oil prices. Inflation in Indonesia is also not monetary, but rather due to market imperfection such as monopoly, oligopoly and monopsony. During the period studied, it appears that the Indonesian economy has not yet reached full employment, so that increase in aggregate demand does not trigger inflation. The government is expected to be able to maintain the stability of the Rupiah Exchange Rate by strengthening supervision over fuel distribution, striving to achieve full employment conditions and regulating market players so as not to do manipulate prices when people need these goods
