Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of transformative leadership by the headmastermaster of school in improving the pedagogical competence of teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 01 Weleri after PPKM COVID 19. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation involving the headmaster of school and teachers. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that 1) the headmaster of the school creates the vision as the foundation on which the teacher moves. It is embodied in the vision the headmaster presents to the teacher; 2) the headmaster motivates teacher to receive and communicate the vision; 3) The headmaster of the school manages the delivery of the vision accurately by doing the analysis of the problem, then the discussion, and finally the implementation of the idea; 4) the headmaster is doing well in building relationships professionally, but what needs to be improved is the emotional communication that is lacking according to most teachers.
