Abstract
Coping strategies are ways or methods used by individuals to overcome and control situations or problems experienced and seen as obstacles, painful challenges and detrimental threats. This research aims to describe the phenomenon regarding the dynamics of coping strategies carried out by 3 young women who have reconnected parents or remarried parents. The research subjects were 3 female teenagers aged 20-21 years who had joint parents. Data collection in this research used semi-structured interview techniques. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis. The results of this research were that the three subjects experienced problems since having joint parents. The problems experienced by the three subjects included, the first subject admitted that he had never been given money by his biological mother because his surrogate father had forbidden it, the second subject had always been bullied and teased by his surrogate mother, and the third subject had never received good feedback from his surrogate mother. However, each subject has a coping strategy for dealing with things that happen to their parents. All three subjects have good coping strategies. The coping strategy used by the subject focuses on problems and emotions. The coping strategies used by the subject are influenced by the achievements, ideals and dreams that the subject wants to realize.
